Sibling Preparation - May 4, 2014

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital offers a variety of childbirth education classes to help prepare expectant families for the arrival of a new baby. Specially trained registered nurses provide expert preparation and support for the challenges of pregnancy and labor.

Course Content
This class is suitable for families with children between the ages of 3 and 8. The class will describe differences between “baby and me” and allow siblings to express feelings about the new baby. It will also explore ways that big brother or big sister can help the family. The class includes a tour of the Mother-Infant unit.
